Who runs the site
Cross Border Wealth is an independent educational publication run as a personal project, separate from any financial firm. It is not a registered dealer, adviser, accounting firm or law firm, and it does not manage money, prepare tax returns or give personalized advice.
Our contributors
Articles are written by practising professionals who hold recognised credentials in at least one jurisdiction. Each article names its author and their credentials. Contributors write in their personal capacity; their views are their own and do not represent any firm they are associated with. Chris Mills, the founding contributor, is a wealth advisor licensed in Canada and the United States and writes here in his personal capacity.
How introductions work
When you use the Get connected form, your request is emailed to the Cross Border Wealth team, who match it to a professional in the category you chose and pass along your details. Cross Border Wealth receives no referral fee, commission or other compensation from any professional for an introduction, and there is no fee to you for being introduced. Contributors to this site, including Chris Mills, are practising professionals and may be among the people the team introduces you to. If an introduction would go to a contributor or their firm, the introduction email says so, and you can ask for someone else. The professional may charge for their services and will tell you their terms before any engagement begins. If this ever changes, we will say so on this page and on the Get connected page.
Products and sponsors
We do not sell financial products, accept paid placements or publish sponsored content. If we ever accept sponsorship, it will be labelled clearly on the page where it appears.
Testimonials
We do not publish client testimonials or endorsements about advisory services.
Case examples
Examples in articles describe common situations to illustrate a point. They are not a promise that anyone else will get the same result.
